Well Seriously Readers, get ready to have your faith in our national security re-affirmed. We just had bombs smuggled into 10 DIFFERENT FEDERAL BUILDINGS DURING A TEST. Maybe Green Day is right after all, Homeland Security could kill us all.

I mean, really, outside of FBI, CIA, et al., can we reasonably expect diligence and intelligence from Federal government workers???!!!! Could anyone have reasonably expected any other outcome???!!!!

Unless we’re willing to recruit workers of the caliber of FBI and CIA we really can’t expect any different results. It will take an explosion at a government building to get people’s attention.

Well, the testers from GAO are pretty diligent and intelligent, and they’re federal government employees.

10 buildings, 10 bombs. 100% efficacy. That’s showing how the US of A does it!

Well that’s what you get with years of the Bush adminstration. The elimination of federal law enforcement positions in this case FPO’s (Federal Protective Officers) to contractors!!!
They need to re-establish the ranks and put the protection of federal buildings back to where it originally belongs. (FPO 85′)

You are all dumb asses blaming this on any pres. The truth is the gov is not willing to pay it’s employees hardly anything. You pay $8 an hour for this “security” position, and $8 an hour is what you get. They can blow money left and right on all kinds of stupid stuff (recovery bill) but talk about paying employees a fair wage, that will get them all fired up.

I don’t know what is more disturbing the lack of security at federal buildings. Or telling the world that they are not secure. I think the reporting of it does much more damage. As for blaming Bush nice try. ovama has been in office for many months now and had done all he could do to undo the security we had under Bush. When we are attacked again, and we will be attacked again. You only have yourselves to blame. You idoits elected the terrorist sympathizer that now holds our highest office. wtg.

Can somebody please TELL ME WHAT THE BOMB making compontents were supposed to be?!?!? Did somebody smuggle in a stick of TNT with no fuse or something or was it a bottle that looked like water or a potato!? To say “bomb making supplies” without saying WHAT was summgled in is a little seedy.

Like anyone is really suprised by this. You get what you pay for. I betcha the kids working at McDonalds get paid more then these security workers.
