Eat My Sports: Gather no Moss

Four weeks, one victory and a hell of a lot of questions. That’s what the Minnesota Vikings got for a third round draft pick, and a second spin on the Randy Moss carousel.

Now, I know you’re thinking “great, another Randy Moss column.” Not necessarily, my focus now is on Brad Childress and the sinking love boat that is the Vikings’ season. The whole season has been a gamble ever since you sent a mullet, a kicker and some other guy down to Mississippi to literally bring back a grandfather to lead the team after a remarkable run in 2009.

Childress has known for two seasons now that his head coaching future is solely linked to how far Favre takes him. So he has made every bad decision in the name of Favre, that has ultimately led to a 2-5 record, same as SG faves, the Detroit Lions.

Childress has mortgaged the Vikings future for this season, which is now a lost cause. That is the only explanation for waiving Moss after giving up a third rounder, he knows he’s gone after the season, so he would give up five future first rounders to just have Tom Brady watch their games.

The team is officially done after the latest Moss fiasco, all in the name of Favre. Continue reading Eat My Sports: Gather no Moss

NYC’s digital gloryholes

German artist, Aram Bartholl has installed five USB ports on the sides of buildings in New York City.

His hope is that users will use them as “spy drops,” posting pictures, videos or other media to share important ideas with others who visit it.

Would someone like to show Herr Boo Radley ChatRoulette now?

(With special thanks to Alexis.)

Those that have gone to an accredited school with the intent of learning about administration and such skills learn tons and tons of what to do and what not to do. Not that this should be felt as a statement that takes away from those that haven’t gone to school. There’s so much stuff that a person will have to learn on the job that it can get a little bewildering.

However, one thing that most people can agree on as common sense is subtly threatening your employees with their jobs to vote a certain way is a bad thing and should not be done. This is not information that you acquire in school. This is not information that you can only learn on the job. This is information that you essentially already know since doing so is potentially illegal.

You’re hurting society, time for a nip

Alcohol: If you’re doing in, odds are you’re hooked on the most harmful drug in the world, at least according to  some British medical experts. That’s right, booze is more harmful to society and you than crack, heroin or any other drug you can think of.

Why? Because it’s available all over the world and so commonly used. Then again, it’s legal because it’s the least harmful form of self-medication. The logic is enough to drive you to drink.

One of the co-authors also believes that horseback riding is more harmful than ecstasy. You don’t want to know what he thinks about horseback riding under the influence.
