Take it from Snee: Dad Rock Hall of Fame inducts Green Day

As fellow Guy, Bryan McBournie, reported a little over a week ago, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong melted down at the iHeartRadio Music Festival at the MGM Grand Las Vegas. Armstrong objected to the final minute of his set, and whether Green Day’s set was cut short or not, he wanted the audience to know that it was “f%#king bulls*&t” as illustrated by the following:

  1. He’s been around since f%#cking nineteen eighty-f$#king-eight.
  2. He’s not f&@king Justin Bieber, you motherf#@kers.
  3. [You made him do this to his guitar.]
  4. God f%&king loves you all.
  5. He and the rest of Green Day will be back.

Music critics, and children who still give Green Day Kids’ Choice Awards, called it the most punk rock thing ever. But, I’m not so sure. France trolls Italy at the statue-esque level

No one really likes the French. They’re smelly, lilly-livered and rude. My parents visited France this summer, and while they say that they never experienced any of the negative stereotypes, I don’t believe them. France is a bunch of jerks.

And they’ve decided to make this known to the world, or potentially, just to Italy. A 5-meter-tall statue of Zinedine Zidane (surprisingly not a Final Fantasy character) headbutting an Italian soccer player in the 2006 World Cup final has debuted in Paris.

No one knows why the statue has been created, as Algerian artist Adel Abdesseme, creator of it, hasn’t said why it was made or who commissioned it. In the meantime, we can only assume do-ins are afoot.

Assault on goats legal in Washington state

In a surprising change of heart, the federal government is now backing a form of the stand-your-ground policy in Olympic National Park in Washington state, and it’s toward goats.

That’s right, warriors. If you want to make sure the mountain goats know their place, you have the full backing of the U.S. Forest Service. Apparently, the goats are unusually aggressive there, even goring a hiker to death a couple years ago, which prompted the closure of a trail that has just been reopened.

There are now signs posted encouraging hikers to chase of goats by yelling at them, waving coats and even throwing rocks at them. Who’s king of the mountain, now?
