Researchers in Florida have found seven sawfish that were all born to virgin mothers. It’s the first time we’ve seen any vertebrate animal “virgin birth” in the wild. Either that, or the fish are really convincing liars. A DNA analysis of the shark-like creatures found that were reproducing without the help of males.
This might be a good time to get right with your sawfish deity.
