Eat My Sports: Gather no Moss

Four weeks, one victory and a hell of a lot of questions. That’s what the Minnesota Vikings got for a third round draft pick, and a second spin on the Randy Moss carousel.

Now, I know you’re thinking “great, another Randy Moss column.” Not necessarily, my focus now is on Brad Childress and the sinking love boat that is the Vikings’ season. The whole season has been a gamble ever since you sent a mullet, a kicker and some other guy down to Mississippi to literally bring back a grandfather to lead the team after a remarkable run in 2009.

Childress has known for two seasons now that his head coaching future is solely linked to how far Favre takes him. So he has made every bad decision in the name of Favre, that has ultimately led to a 2-5 record, same as SG faves, the Detroit Lions.

Childress has mortgaged the Vikings future for this season, which is now a lost cause. That is the only explanation for waiving Moss after giving up a third rounder, he knows he’s gone after the season, so he would give up five future first rounders to just have Tom Brady watch their games.

The team is officially done after the latest Moss fiasco, all in the name of Favre.
