Yes Virginia, there is a primary election, but it’s next Tuesday. It seems everyone thinks their state should be in Super Tuesday. However, even though there are still a lot of states who have not held their primary elections yet, at least 400 voters in Virginia just couldn’t wait to do their civic duty. And yes, we said “duty.” Please refrain from snickering.
While some of them may have just wanted to get in line early for next Tuesday’s primary, the Virginia State Board of Elections got around 400 calls from voters asking why the polls weren’t open. Some say this means a higher turnout for the state, this blog says it shows Virginia voters are just misinformed on the issues.
