It’s a well-documented fact that the British can’t see in three dimensions, this explains why all of their food is flat. Fortunately, store owners know this, as well, and they use it to their advantage.

A supermarket in Yorkshire used a cardboard cutout of a policeman as a crime deterrent. And the plan worked well, until someone stole it. The cut-outs have been used all around town not only to discourage would-be criminals, but to make policemen seem more approachable.

Apparently they seem too approachable now.
